Our Vision- Faithful to God, Grounded in Love, Responsive to the World
Our Mission- Nurturing people in Body, Mind, and Soul
Our History
First Presbyterian Church, Medford, welcomes you to our historic church. Parts of it were built nearly 100 years ago. The Sanctuary was built in 1927. Its acoustics, beatiful arching windows, and the grand pipes of our outstanding organ allow us to worship lovingly in this historic and beautiful place. Service to God, personal desire to live closer to God, engaging music, and the arts are foundational for us.
All are welcome!

The church was started in 1885 by Reverend Moses A. Williams, a Presbyterian missionary, as he rode horseback around the Rogue Valley planting other Presbyterian churches in Jacksonville, Central Point, and Phoenix.
Our Beliefs

-
We believe Jesus is our foundation and the Lord is to be glorified. Each Sunday, we study and share the gospel.
-
We believe God loves every person without exception and calls us to serve each other.
-
We believe we need to serve others because we are the hands of God.
-
We are part of the Presbyterian Church of the United States of America - PC USA.
-
Presbyterian churches are Protestant and they are governed by elders elected by their congregation.

We Pray for Others
We pray for each other in several ways:

-
Pastor Mike sends out prayer lists in an email when he is notified that one of us or our friends needs prayer.
-
Prayer Wall - Take a card, write on it, and place it on the Prayer Wall. Take it down when you want to.
-
We light a candle in the service and share a concern silently or to the group.
-
We have prayer circles who gather to pray.
-
We have a prayer chain composed of our prayer warriors.

God hears our prayers
in all their forms.
